Pharmaceutical care is the practice of pharmacists using professional behavior to review the proper and safe use of medications, working with other healthcare professionals to promote health and prevent disease. Currently, drug-related morbidity and mortality is a relevant public health problem and, due to society's need to explore drug treatment, there is a lack of professionals with solid knowledge of pharmacological effects to assume responsibility for pharmaceutical care due to the wide variety of drugs available in the market.
