Abstract

 Pharmaceutical care is the practice of pharmacists using professional behavior to review the proper and safe use of medications, working with other healthcare professionals to promote health and prevent disease. Currently, drug-related morbidity and mortality is a relevant public health problem and, due to society's need to explore drug treatment, there is a lack of professionals with solid knowledge of pharmacological effects to assume responsibility for pharmaceutical care due to the wide variety of drugs available in the market. Marketplace. Hence the importance of pharmaceutical care in the context of the safe and appropriate use of medicines. They confirmed that the pharmacist's attention contributes to the rational use of medicines, as it systematically monitors the drug treatment used by individuals, seeking to assess and ensure the need, safety and efficacy of the use of medicines. It meets a societal need by helping individuals achieve better results in their medication process, but pharmacists must always be informed and up-to-date about medications and their effects.
