This article intends to identify how the arts can be important for the development of children, in the context of the formation of individuals who can contribute positively to society as a whole, a model totally contrary to the model that the school takes as the basic objective of training people. able to participate in the labor market. The case is that in this model the artistic and cultural expressions of a society are fundamental, as they are not considered important for the formation of the child and the result of this is only the accumulation of knowledge, it has no mental or emotional effect. To facilitate the contentization of the content presented in this article, it was divided into five main themes, in order to present a complete overview of art education in Brazil.
