Introduction: The pandemic of the new Coronavirus has been directly influencing and impacting man's dynamic balance states. Starting from the theory proposed by Wanda Horta, aiming to assist man in his basic human needs, when "there is tension and discomfort, there is an unmet need, this symptom disappearing when the organism or the environment satisfies it". Therefore, the team of “Nurses of Joy”, in order to assist patients adopting the “clown” methodology, needed to readapt, outside the hospital environment, the new reality. It should also be noted that, in this context, it was necessary to adopt strategies that promote a more humanistic view, the well-being and knowledge, not only of the patients, but also of the whole society attended by the team. Objective: To understand the changes that occurred in the “new time” in the project of the Nurses of Joy and the importance of play therapy in the hospitalization process. Methodology: This is an exploratory study, based on bibliographic analyzes, in which relevant information was extracted in order to substantiate the theme presented. Fine considerations: It is evident, therefore, that it is necessary to humanize and stimulate learning, inserting diversified methodologies that stimulate creativity, as an alternative to live thenewtime.
