We propose in this article, as a general objective, to semiotically analyze the elements of discursivization of the sacred space of the chapel of Sinhozinho, located in Bonito, Mato Grosso do Sul. content and expression plan, as well as the representativeness of Sinhozinho. As an object of research, we delimited the internal space of the chapel, represented through photographs, with the altar as the main object. Our work is based on Language Studies, more specifically, on discursive semiotics, with its recent plastic and tensive developments. We are based on the methodology of semi-symbolism, and on the tensive foundations of the concepts of sorting and mixing presented by Ziberberg. We hope that this can contribute to studies in the area of semiotics and religious discourse, whose justification is based on the scarcity of the theme, mainly, of studies focused on the analysis of elements of popular religiosity, especially of a visual nature.
