Abstract

This article aims to explain about Special Education/Inclusion and Down Syndrome and its aspects, so that it will demonstrate results of studies carried out in articles, academic websites and books, for the elaboration of the aforementioned. After reading this, the reader will understand the history of Special Education/Inclusion and its objectives, bringing the reader a quick reading and understanding of how its history in Brazil went, when it occurred and the laws created for inclusion. of people with physical and psychological disabilities and what has benefited people with special needs, whether permanent or not, schools where people with special needs in general will be able to find care throughout the country will also be mentioned. During the elaboration of the work, readings were carried out in specialized books on Down Syndrome, which will report the history of Down Syndrome, how it was discovered, what are its physical similarities to perceive a person with the Syndrome, which is not a disease but a genetic change, which has no cure and is not transmitted, but a genetic mutation called Trisomy 21, or Down syndrome. At the end of the work, all the questions raised will be answered in a clear and objective way, leading the reader to an understanding of the title proposed in this work as well as encouraging them to seek to know more about the subject so important that it is part of our daily lives.
