THE ROLE OF PROERD IN THE EFFECTIVENESS OF PUBLIC SAFETY POLICIES: REFLECTIONS ON SOCIAL INTERVENTIONS

Abstract

It is important to highlight the role of social, educational, sports and cultural intervention programs in search of solutions to the demands of social and community organization, especially when dealing with advances in crime and harassment of children and young people. This article aims to present, based on bibliographic references, the importance of one of these programs of a national nature: Proerd, which aims to bring social actors closer to Public Security, such as, for example, the Military Police, school, family and community. By going through the references and analyses, we seek to reflect on the role of programs, like this one, in expanding collective awareness and reducing crime, including the character of social representation of these institutions that are related in the search for solutions of integration/training.
