Emotional education is extremely important for the individual's life, as emotional issues are directly related to all areas of human interaction. In view of this fact, the importance of working on emotions with children from an early age is observed. In this sense, the school plays an essential role in the full development of students' emotional health. Socio-emotional skills develop in students skills that contribute throughout student life and also promote social formation. People who do not have these skills have some difficulty when placed in adverse situations. Therefore, there is a need to promote pedagogical actions aimed at childhood with a focus on socio-emotional skills. Seeking to answer these questions, the aim of this study was to identify which socio-emotional skills were worked on during the COVID-19 pandemic period in 2020 and 2021 and which pedagogical actions were used in this process. To this end, investigative, qualitative field research was carried out with teachers from public and private schools in the first year of elementary school, using questionnaires. According to the research results, it was possible to see that both public and private school teachers worked with students on socio-emotional skills, as educators recognize that these are extremely important in the development of students. a great support for the work and for the progress of the contents in the classroom, contributing to healthy relationships and mental health.
