The purpose of this work is, from a bibliographic survey, to understand which historicity regime, in the methodological perspective of François Hartog, presents itself in the history of history teaching in Brazil from its beginning as a discipline in the 19th century. As this temporality is shown in the process of composition of history teaching intersecting its political function for the formation of a national identity.
