Abstract

With the advances in the media and the consolidation of new technologies, Fashion created new forms of innovative manifestations that determined and affirmed its importance as a cultural and economic segment. Following the theoretical and methodological apparatus of Greimasian semiotics and important authors who follow this line, our work seeks to understand how the process of signification is carried out from the images that make up the editorial analyzed here. To achieve this goal, the images constructed in the editorial Romeu e Julieta (2008), by Vogue USA, will be analyzed, in the photos produced by Annie Leibovitz. Thus, our analysis is based on studies related to enunciation, supported by what is called, in semiotics, the generative path of meaning.
