At the expense of the health crisis caused by the covid-19 pandemic in 2020, there is a concern to understand how the consequences of a global health problem are perceived by professional psychologists working in public health policies. To respond to this concern, a qualitative research was developed based on semi-structured interviews with 6 psychologists working in public health facilities (CAPS ad, Consultório na Rua, UBS and General Hospital), whose collected data were analyzed through thematic content analysis. It was possible to obtain as results, the understanding of the health crisis based on the consequences and affects that occurred in the social structure and the need to turn to the existing theories of Psychology that are able to look at the phenomena in a macro way, in the field of intersubjectivities, as in the case of Social Psychology, generating possibilities to offer the subjects the construction of resources to face the pandemic context as well as the issues that precede it and continue to exist during the pandemic, whether aggravated or not by it.
