Water pollution and improper disposal of solid waste are directly linked to the spread of diseases. This outreach project aimed to raise awareness among middle school students about water and waste management, relating the risk factors of consuming contaminated water and improper waste disposal to quality of life, and demonstrating the importance of sustainable practices. The activity, conducted by medical students, involved a lecture, a diagnostic quiz, and the creation of homemade filters using PET bottles. After the intervention, 100% of the final answers were correct, indicating effective learning. The project proved effective in promoting environmental and health education, contributing to the development of critical awareness and social responsibility among the participants.
