The judicialization of higher education has intensified in recent years, posing challenges to university administration and the legal system. Despite this growth, empirical studies employing quantitative methods to identify patterns, predict judicial decisions, and inform institutional policies remain scarce. In this context, legal analytics, understood as the application of statistical techniques to the analysis of legal data, represents a promising approach that remains underexplored in the educational field. This study conducts an integrative literature review to map scientific research applying statistical methods to the analysis of litigation involving higher education institutions. The databases Scopus, Web of Science, SciELO, the CAPES Catalog of Theses and Dissertations, and the University of Lisbon Repository were consulted. The selection process, guided by inclusion and exclusion criteria based on the PRISMA guidelines, resulted in 12 studies. The findings reveal a predominance, in the international context, of inferential techniques, such as multiple regression and generalized linear models, whereas in Brazil, descriptive analyses related to enrollment, affirmative action policies, and student retention prevail. It is concluded that, although still at an early stage, legal analytics has significant potential to improve university administration and support preventive policies and more efficient administrative strategies.
