GAMES USED BY TEACHERS IN THE DOM INOCÊNCIO MUNICIPAL SCHOOL SYSTEM – PI TO SUPPORT CHILDREN’S LEARNING IN PRESCHOOL

Abstract

The purpose of this article was to investigate the games used by teachers in the municipal school system of Dom Inocêncio, Piauí, to support children’s learning in preschool. To conduct the research, we adopted a qualitative approach and used Google Forms as the data collection tool. Six (6) teachers who instruct preschool students participated in the study. The results indicate that most teachers receive training to work with children, and even those who do not receive training or guidance frequently use play to teach their students. Thus, based on the data, it was possible to confirm that teachers incorporate play into their classroom routines and are aware of its importance in early childhood education.
