This article aimed to describe human papillomavirus (HPV) vaccination among males in the Brazilian context. To this end, concepts and aspects related to the implementation of vaccination for this demographic were addressed through a literature review using the PubMed, SciELO, and Google Scholar databases, as well as official documents from the Ministry of Health. The studies analyzed revealed that the male population exhibits greater vulnerability to HPV infection and low vaccination uptake. These findings are primarily associated with sociocultural factors, misinformation, and historically established prejudices. Consequently, low vaccination coverage facilitates the continued circulation of the virus and compromises the effectiveness of health initiatives aimed at preventing infection and its complications. Thus, it is essential to strengthen health education strategies, expand access to information, and encourage vaccination among males, thereby contributing to increased vaccination coverage and a reduction in the incidence of HPV-related diseases.
