Abstract

The Philosophy of Education plays a fundamental role in understanding educational processes, contributing to ethical formation, moral development, and social transformation. This study aimed to analyze the contributions of the Philosophy of Education to the construction of morality and ethics, as well as its influence on the formation of critical and socially responsible individuals. This is an integrative literature review with a qualitative and exploratory approach, based on the analysis of scientific publications indexed in national and international databases. Studies published between 2015 and 2025, available in full text and addressing the Philosophy of Education, ethical formation, morality, and social transformation were included. Duplicated publications, conference abstracts, editorials, letters to the editor, and studies not directly related to the investigated topic were excluded. In addition, classical philosophical works were used as the conceptual framework. The analyzed studies showed that the Philosophy of Education promotes the development of moral autonomy, critical reflection, citizenship, and social responsibility, strengthening educational practices committed to integral human development. The literature also highlights that education, grounded in philosophical and ethical principles, constitutes an important instrument for building more democratic, inclusive societies guided by the values of justice, human dignity, and the common good.
