Abstract

This research addresses the promotion of mental and physical health through physical education and interclass games as strategies to foster integration, socialization, and collectivity among public school students in Brazil. The objective was to analyze the effectiveness of physical education practices, with an emphasis on interclass games, in promoting the comprehensive development of students, encompassing physical, cognitive, emotional, and social dimensions. The connection between health, socialization, and academic performance stands out as fundamental, and it is widely recognized that students engaged in collective and inclusive activities present better well-being and academic results. The methodology adopted was a bibliographic review with a qualitative approach, using Google Scholar searches, prioritizing scientific texts in Portuguese, published in national journals, especially in the SciELO database. The relationship between physical education and socialization shows that interclass games, by promoting playful and collaborative interactions, contribute to the construction of emotional bonds, reducing conflicts, and strengthening collective identity, mitigating social inequalities and favoring the holistic development of students.
