This article aimed to describe the experiences lived during the Supervised Nursing Internship in an oncology service, emphasizing nursing care and humanized assistance provided to patients. This is a descriptive experience report conducted between November 2025 and April 2026 at a Teaching Hospital in the state of Minas Gerais, Brazil, in the chemotherapy and radiotherapy units. Activities included monitoring vital signs, medication administration, wound care, application of the Nursing Process, patient and family education, and participation in nursing care management. The experience demonstrated that oncology nursing extends beyond technical procedures by incorporating welcoming practices, qualified listening, health education, emotional support, and individualized care planning. The Nursing Process proved to be an essential tool for organizing care, improving patient safety, and supporting clinical decision-making. The experience significantly contributed to professional education, demonstrating that humanized and systematic nursing care is fundamental to the quality of oncology care.
