Artificial Intelligence (AI) has become increasingly prevalent in everyday academic life, offering various possibilities to support study, research, and scientific production. A significant growth in its use in graduate education has been observed, contributing to information search, content organization, text revision, and the development of academic work. At the same time, this reality has raised reflections on ethical aspects, the reliability of information, authorship, and the role of these technologies in the construction of knowledge. In this context, this study aims to understand the contributions of Artificial Intelligence to the education of master’s students in the Graduate Program in Intellectual Property and Technology Transfer for Innovation (PROFNIT) at the Federal University of Rondonópolis. The research was conducted with students from the 2026 entering class and sought to identify how these tools are used in academic activities, as well as the main advantages and challenges perceived by the participants. The study is grounded in the Science, Technology, Society, and Environment (STSE) perspective, which considers technology as part of social relations and human development processes. It is expected that the results will contribute to broadening discussions on the conscious and critical use of Artificial Intelligence in education, especially in graduate programs focused on innovation and technological development.
