The modernization of public administration has required public security institutions to adopt mechanisms capable of promoting greater efficiency, transparency, and quality in the services provided to society. In this context, Standard Operational and Administrative Procedures (SOPs) stand out as important management tools aimed at standardizing institutional activities, strengthening organizational governance, and improving operational performance. This study aims to analyze the importance of Standard Operational and Administrative Procedures in the modernization of management and the efficiency of services provided by the Military Police of Pará. This is a qualitative study of a bibliographic and documentary nature, based on books, scientific articles, legislation, institutional documents, and publications related to public administration, organizational governance, public security, and process management. The results show that the adoption of standardized procedures contributes to the uniformity of actions, reduction of operational failures, strengthening of legal security, improvement of professional training processes, and optimization of institutional resources. It was also observed that SOPs favor the preservation of organizational knowledge, enhance internal control mechanisms, and improve the quality of services delivered to the population. It is concluded that Standard Operational and Administrative Procedures constitute strategic tools for strengthening the Military Police of Pará, significantly contributing to the modernization of public management, organizational efficiency, and excellence in public security services.
