TOOLS FOR STRATEGIC PROCUREMENT MANAGEMENT: A LITERATURE REVIEW ON DECISION-MAKING TOOLS AND OPERATIONAL EFFICIENCY

Abstract

This article analyzes, through a literature review, how purchasing tools contribute to more efficient and assertive management. Considering that the supply chain sector has undergone a transformation in its corporate dynamics, changing its way of operating within corporations and shifting from a purely internal perspective to a more global business approach, the objective of this work was to describe, analyze, and compare the strategic purchasing management tools described in the literature, highlighting their impact on the pursuit of operational efficiency and decision-making. The study points to significant challenges, such as organizational resistance, the complexity in data measurement, and the need for integration between departments. Ultimately, the article concludes that the combination of these methodologies is fundamental to ensuring competitiveness and transparency in the contemporary supply chain.
