Abstract

This study aims to analyze the strategies and responsibilities of school management in promoting inclusive education. It employs a qualitative research approach—using inductive and descriptive methods grounded in a literature review—to explore how to effectively serve the student population targeted by inclusion initiatives and comply with inclusive education policies. The study is based on the legal and theoretical frameworks underpinning inclusive education policies within the Brazilian educational context, highlighting the importance of the school manager's leadership and their contribution to the school's inclusion process. The results demonstrate that, despite the numerous challenges identified, the role of school management is crucial for fostering an inclusive school environment. The manager plays a fundamental role in the inclusion process by providing necessary support for students with disabilities and disorders, dispelling prejudices, and facilitating improved educational practices.
