Introduction Peripartum cardiomyopathy is a rare and potentially severe condition characterized by left ventricular systolic dysfunction occurring in the last month of pregnancy or during the puerperium, and may progress to heart failure, significantly increasing maternal morbidity and mortality. Objective: (apresentar apenas o geral) Considering its clinical relevance and the need to qualify nursing care, this study aimed to analyze scientific evidence regarding nursing care provided to women with peripartum cardiomyopathy. Methodology: This is a descriptive bibliographic review with a qualitative approach, conducted through a survey in scientific databases, including LILACS, MEDLINE, BDENF, and Google Scholar, using descriptors related to the theme. After applying inclusion and exclusion criteria, 12 articles were selected to compose the research corpus and were analyzed using Bardin’s Content Analysis technique. Analysys and discussion of the results: The results showed that the nonspecific symptomatology of the disease is a determining factor for delayed diagnosis, highlighting the importance of continuous clinical monitoring and early recognition of signs of cardiac decompensation. Nursing practice proved to be essential in clinical surveillance, implementation of therapeutic interventions, and health education. Furthermore, the Systematization of Nursing Care was identified as fundamental for organizing care and improving maternal prognosis. Conclusão: It is concluded that the qualification of nursing care is crucial to reduce complications and promote maternal safety.
