This study consists of an integrative literature review based on scientific articles and health guidelines, which consistently indicate that breastfeeding is essential for adequate infant nutrition, enhanced immune protection, and overall development. However, the presence of nipple fissures or breast trauma represents one of the most significant obstacles to maintaining breastfeeding quality and may even hinder the breastfeeding process. Nipple lesions can lead to early weaning due to the discomfort they cause. Given these concerns and the challenges commonly faced during the postpartum period, the motivation for this study was grounded in the need to reduce the impact of breastfeeding complications associated with such traumas. The study aims to analyze the benefits of low-level laser therapy (LLLT) in the treatment of nipple lesions in breastfeeding women, evaluating its applicability, advantages, and effectiveness. The methodology consisted of a bibliographic review conducted through the Virtual Health Library (VHL) database. Initially, 35 articles were identified. During the selection process, filters were applied for full-text availability, language, publication period from 2020 to 2025, and the descriptors breastfeeding, lactating women, and laser therapy. As a result, 22 articles that did not meet the established criteria were excluded. Subsequently, 13 studies were selected for the eligibility phase. Of these, 4 were excluded after full-text review due to duplication or unavailability, resulting in a final sample of 9 highly relevant articles included in the study. The findings reinforce the effectiveness of laser therapy in promoting tissue healing and improving maternal well-being during the postpartum period, consequently strengthening the mother–infant bond throughout lactation. Therefore, it can be concluded that laser therapy, combined with appropriate guidance from nursing professionals, constitutes a viable strategy for reducing pain, promoting healing of injured tissue, and preventing early weaning. It emerges as a promising and increasingly adopted technology in the support and care of women during the postpartum period.
