This study aims to analyze the pedagogical practices developed in Adult Education (EJA) and their contribution to employability. This is an integrative literature review conducted in the SciELO, BDTD, CAPES, and ERIC databases to analyze the relationship between EJA, pedagogical practices, and employability. Forty-two studies were identified, of which eight met the inclusion criteria and were analyzed regarding their objectives, methodology, and main contributions to the insertion and retention of students in the world of work. Contextualized, participatory pedagogical practices articulated with the world of work favor learning, school retention, and employability, although challenges such as dropout, difficulties in access, and reconciliation between study and work still persist. EJA plays a fundamental role in professional qualification, social inclusion, and expansion of job opportunities, being strengthened by contextualized and participatory pedagogical practices. However, challenges such as school dropout and difficulties in reconciling study and work still require further research and more effective educational policies.
