Introduction: Adolescence is a stage marked by intense physical, emotional, and social changes, associated with vulnerabilities that directly impact individuals’ health and development. In this context, the role of nursing in health promotion stands out. Objective: To analyze how nursing can overcome barriers in promoting adolescent health. Methodology: This is an integrative literature review conducted in the PubMed and Virtual Health Library (VHL) databases, including LILACS and BDENF, from 2020 to 2025. The descriptors “health promotion,” “adolescent,” “nursing,” and “intervention strategies” were used, combined with the Boolean operator AND. Full-text articles in Portuguese and English were included, while review studies, experience reports, and those not aligned with the study objective were excluded. Results: Four articles comprised the final sample, highlighting strategies such as health education, mental health interventions, early identification of risk factors, and intersectoral actions involving family and community. Conclusion: Nursing plays an essential role in promoting adolescent health, contributing to the reduction of vulnerabilities, strengthening self-care, and improving the quality of life of this population.
