This article sought to discuss the importance of guidance from the pharmaceutical professional within their competencies regarding the use of nutraceutical supplementation by women during the climacteric period, most of whom used it irregularly and without proof of structural necessity, making its use irrational and harmful to their health and ineffective for climacteric and menopausal symptoms. Based on anonymous authorial electronic research, the profile of 110 women aged between 35 and 60 years was evaluated, along with their main nutritional supplements (Creatine, Vitamin D, B Complex, and Vitamin C), making it possible to explain the importance of the pharmacist's role in guiding and monitoring the user in the use of supplementation with legal support from current legislation on guidance and prescription, as well as to clarify the benefits to the body and the harms caused by excessive or irregular use of such nutrients. The need for health education to promote the rational use of supplements is also highlighted.
