This article analyzes Brazil's strategic role in the reconfiguration of contemporary international relations, characterized by the transition from a unipolar order to a complex multipolarity. The focus lies on investigating how the country positions itself regarding the phenomenon of regionalism and the consolidation of plurilateral blocs. The research employs the concepts of autonomy through diversification and soft power to evaluate opportunities derived from the rise of emerging economies, emphasizing the BRICS+ bloc. Through a qualitative bibliographic review and geoeconomic analysis, the study examines how Brazil can capitalize on its comparative advantages in food and energy security to negotiate more favorable terms in global value chains. Preliminary results suggest that Brazil’s sovereign integration depends on a diplomacy that balances economic pragmatism with leadership in South-South cooperation forums. It concludes that strengthening partnerships with the Global South acts as a risk mitigation mechanism in the face of current geoeconomic fragmentation.
