This study aims to analyze the female mortality by aggression in the state of Maranhão, as well as the trend of this profile after the Law on Feminicide, Law 13.104 / 2015, in the period from 2012 to 2018. The secondary database was the Mortality Information System - SIM, and Informatics Department of the Unified Health System - DATASUS. Variables related to the victim's profile were age (> 10, <60); skin color (white, black, yellow, brown, indigenous); cause of death; location (hospital or other health establishment, home, public road, others); Socioeconomic data, marital status, education, occupation were also considered. As for the descriptive analysis of the data, the chi-square test was used to compare the total number of notified cases, comparing them before and after the implementation of Law No. 13.104/2015. As for the analysis of the association of the study variables, the Fisher's exact test was applied. The information obtained will support an action plan to combat violence against women and femicide. The results show that in this state (Maranhão), the highest percentage of deaths were in women aged between 20 and 39 years (60.2% of deaths in the period), that the main victims were brown (72.3%) and single women ( 65.5%), which suggests a relationship with situations of domestic and family violence against women.
