PREVENTIVE ADMINISTRATION END MAINTENANCE AS A TOOL FOR EFFICIENCY IN PUBLIC ASSET MANAGEMENT

Abstract

This article analyzed preventive maintenance as a strategic tool for sustainability and extending the lifespan of assets in Brazilian public organizations. The central problem lies in the fact that public administration has historically concentrated efforts and resources on acquiring new assets, neglecting the continuous conservation of existing assets. Methodologically, the research has a qualitative and descriptive character. Bibliographic review and rigorous analysis of technical standards, such as ISO 55000 and NBR 5674, were used, in addition to current legislation, with emphasis on the New Bidding Law (Law No. 14,133/2021), which requires planning and management of contractual risks. The main results demonstrate that costs with corrective maintenance exceed preventive expenses by 4 to 10 times. This negligence generates unavailability of essential services, accelerated depreciation of infrastructure, and serious environmental impacts resulting from the premature disposal of materials. It is concluded that the transition to preventive maintenance is an indispensable instrument of public governance. It ensures budgetary predictability, administrative efficiency, operational continuity, and the protection of public funds against the waste of resources.This article aims to discuss the appreciation of the brand's defense strategy and its reputation for the corporate institution's image in the face of attacks and criticisms of the quality of its products and services, inevitably exposing its brands in social networks. The work evaluates the interaction of the organizations with the users in order to fulfill the mission of defending their brand in the face of judgments that may negatively expose the products and services of the brand that over the years struggles to survive the current economic situations of the country.
