The present study aimed to develop a decision-support technology (software) to assist decision-making in the indication of prophylaxis in human rabies care. Methods: This is a methodological, applied study developed in two stages: (1) a cross-sectional analysis of secondary data from the Notifiable Diseases Information System (SINAN) in Camaçari, Bahia, between April 2022 and December 2024; and (2) the development of a decision-support software based on current technical guidelines. Results: Inadequate prophylactic management was identified in 20.9% of the analyzed cases, highlighting weaknesses in the decision-making process. Based on these findings, a web-based decision-support software was developed to guide the correct indication of rabies prophylaxis. Conclusion: The software is a strategic tool to improve healthcare practice, reduce prescription errors, optimize the use of immunobiologicals, and support continuing health education actions.
