Abstract

This study analyzes the infodemic in the post-pandemic context, highlighting the impacts of health misinformation and strategies aimed at improving professional nursing practice. This is an integrative literature review conducted in the SciELO and PubMed databases, with a time frame from 2020 to 2026, using descriptors related to infodemic, health misinformation, COVID-19, health education, and nursing. The results showed that the spread of false information negatively influences health behaviors, reduces adherence to preventive measures, and undermines trust in institutions. It is concluded that nursing plays a strategic role through health education, effective communication, and the promotion of evidence-based practices.
