This study analyzes the prenatal care provided to women deprived of liberty at Talavera Bruce Penitentiary, in 2019, in the state of Rio de Janeiro, in light of the recommendations of the Brazilian Ministry of Health. It is an exploratory research with a quantitative approach and documental analysis, based on data from 31 pregnant women. Sociodemographic aspects, obstetric history, performance of laboratory tests, vaccination, and number of prenatal consultations were evaluated. The results revealed weaknesses in the provided care, including low adherence to essential examinations, incomplete vaccination coverage, and an insufficient number of prenatal visits compared to recommended standards. It is concluded that, despite existing public policies ensuring access to healthcare within the prison system, there are still significant gaps in the quality of prenatal care, highlighting the need for greater commitment from healthcare teams to ensure comprehensive, humanized care in accordance with established guidelines.
