This study consisted of a literature review that investigated the adoption of technologies in the classroom: daily challenges and possible limitations of their use. The choice of the topic was justified by the need to understand how technologies can contribute to learning without exceeding the limit between pedagogical support and excessive use. A gap was also observed regarding the real impact of these tools on student performance and on the continuing education of teachers. Therefore, the research problem was: How does the adoption of technologies in the classroom contribute to learning without becoming an obstacle? The general objective is to understand how the use of technologies in the classroom contributes to learning, identifying the challenges and limitations between balanced pedagogical use and excess that can harm the teaching process. Specific objectives included: (1) identifying how the adoption of technologies in the classroom occurs and its impacts on student concentration and interaction; (2) to describe the challenges and possibilities faced in contemporary education and (3) to explain the importance of continuing teacher education in the face of the ethical and pedagogical challenges of the digital world. The methodology was based on bibliographic research, which consists of the selection, critical reading, and systematic analysis of scientific articles related to the topic. As expected results, it was intended to promote reflections that strengthen the use of technologies in teaching practice, aiming at meaningful learning aligned with the demands of digital education.
