Abstract

This study presents QuizMath, a digital educational game developed as an inclusive pedagogical resource to support the teaching of additive problems to deaf students. The proposal is grounded in the principles of inclusive education, bilingual education for the deaf, and theoretical frameworks of mathematics education, considering the linguistic and methodological barriers and the lack of accessible materials that still characterize this field. The objective of the study is to analyze the theoretical foundations of inclusive mathematics education and to present QuizMath as an assistive technology, discussing its development process, pedagogical application, and inclusive potential. The research adopts a qualitative approach, with a bibliographic and descriptive design, combined with the analysis of an educational product applied in a school context with basic education teachers. The results indicate that the resource contributes to expanding linguistic access, supports the conceptual organization of the additive field, and enhances student engagement through the integration of Brazilian Sign Language (Libras), interactive visual elements, and gamification strategies. It is concluded that the articulation between accessible technology and consistent pedagogical grounding can reduce communicational barriers and expand opportunities for meaningful learning, reaffirming that linguistic differences do not prevent the development of logical-mathematical reasoning.
