Abstract

Chronic Kidney Disease (CKD) constitutes a significant public health problem due to the progressive increase in the number of people undergoing renal replacement therapy and the physical, emotional, and social impacts caused by the disease. In this context, nursing care plays a fundamental role in promoting comprehensive care, preventing complications, and improving the quality of life of these patients. This study aims to analyze the influence of nursing care on the quality of life of patients with Chronic Kidney Disease. This is a qualitative, descriptive, bibliographic review study, conducted through the analysis of scientific articles available in electronic health databases. The results show that nurses play an essential role in the continuous monitoring of renal patients, acting in health education, clinical monitoring, encouraging self-care, providing emotional support, and humanizing care. It is concluded that nursing care contributes significantly to treatment adherence, reduction of complications, and improvement in the quality of life of patients with chronic kidney disease (CKD), reinforcing the importance of systematized care based on scientific evidence.
