Strategic planning is an essential tool for guiding organizations in defining their objectives and building consistent paths to achieve them. It is a continuous process that involves analyzing the internal and external environment, defining mission, vision, and values, as well as formulating strategies capable of promoting sustainable growth and better organizational performance. Throughout the material, it is observed that strategic planning is not limited to an administrative formality, but acts as a dynamic tool that allows anticipating scenarios, reducing uncertainties, and maximizing opportunities. Its application involves different levels: strategic, tactical, and operational, which, when articulated, ensure greater efficiency in the execution of actions. The relevance of this process in specific sectors, such as healthcare, is also highlighted, where the complexity of demands requires decisions based on data and indicators. In this context, strategic planning contributes to improved management, resource optimization, and quality of services provided. Furthermore, the text shows that the future of strategic planning is directly related to the ability of organizations to adapt to global transformations, such as environmental issues, technological advances, and economic changes. Thus, strategic planning becomes not only a competitive advantage, but a necessity for institutional survival and evolution.
