Pediatric hospitalization is a frequent phenomenon in healthcare services, especially due to conditions such as respiratory infections, gastrointestinal diseases, neonatal complications, and chronic illnesses, which are among the main causes of childhood hospitalization in Brazil and worldwide. This study aims to analyze the importance of humanizing nursing care in pediatric care, seeking to understand how this practice contributes to the quality of care, patient recovery, and the strengthening of the bond between the child, family, and healthcare team. This is a descriptive bibliographic research, using a search of scientific productions in the LILACS and SciELO databases, through descriptors related to humanization, pediatric nursing, and childhood hospitalization in the period from 2020 to 2025. It is observed that modern pediatric care reveals that healing the body is a technical process, but caring for the child requires the integration of scientific rigor, family support, and the sensitivity of play. It is noticeable that the hospital environment is ceasing to be a space strictly focused on curing physical pathology and is transforming into a setting for biopsychosocial care.
