Sleep Disorders are more and more frequent in the population's life due to several factors of daily life. With the increase in life expectancy, it is noted that specifically the elderly are a group that suffers a lot from these sleep disturbances. Linked to this are the physical and psychological conditions of the elderly, as well as diseases such as Dementias that reduce the chances of having a good quality of sleep. Importantly, elderly people use some medications and these can also be triggers for not having good restful sleep. In this way, the Pharmacist plays a special role in informing about medications and their side effects on the sleep of elderly people with Dementia, and also brings skillful solutions to obtain a good night's sleep.
