Introduction: Breastfeeding is recognized as one of the most effective strategies for promoting maternal and child health, providing nutritional, immunological, and emotional benefits for both mother and baby. The World Health Organization recommends exclusive breastfeeding for the first six months of life and continued breastfeeding with complementary foods up to two years of age or beyond. Despite these recommendations, factors such as breastfeeding difficulties, maternal insecurity, and lack of adequate support may contribute to early weaning. In this context, educational actions developed in Primary Health Care become essential to strengthen the support network and provide qualified information to mothers. Objective: To report and analyze the experience of nursing undergraduate students in the development and implementation of educational activities on breastfeeding during the Golden August campaign. Method: A descriptive, qualitative study in the form of an experience report, conducted by nursing students in August 2025, in a Pediatrics unit and in a Family Health Strategy unit. The activities included dialogic expository presentations using educational materials and simulation of breastfeeding techniques. Results: In the Pediatrics unit, greater interaction with the audience and exchange of experiences were observed. In the Family Health Strategy unit, there was greater organization and technical mastery by the students, demonstrating progress in confidence and communication. Discussion: The results indicate that the audience profile and the environment influence the dynamics of educational actions, reinforcing the importance of adapting language and using demonstrative resources. Conclusion: The experience contributed to academic training and to the promotion of breastfeeding, highlighting the relevance of educational actions in real practice settings.
