Violence against police officers occurs in various forms, both within and outside the institution. This scoping review aimed to identify how this topic has been addressed in the scientific literature between 2020 and 2024. Data were collected between April and June 2024 from the SciELO, CAPES Journals, Scopus, and Web of Science databases, using the descriptors “police victimization,” “violence against police officers,” and “violence against police,” in Portuguese, Spanish, and English. After the eligibility process, nine articles were included. The studies were classified into four categories: (1) Consequences of Police Victimization, (2) Use of Body Cameras, (3) Perceptions of Violence Against Police Officers, and (4) Patterns of Crimes Against Police. The findings indicate that violence against law enforcement has various consequences, and institutional support is generally weak. The need for effective support policies and preventive strategies tailored to different forms of violence is emphasized.
