This article is the result of a bibliographic research characterized as a "State of Knowledge" review. The investigation aimed to map theses and dissertations defended in postgraduate programs between 2019 and 2023, in order to analyze the scientific contributions that address the construction of the professional identity of the pedagogical coordinator in the school environment. The search was conducted in the Database of Theses and Dissertations of the Coordination for the Improvement of Higher Education Personnel (CAPES), using the descriptors: "Pedagogical Coordination", "Professional Identity" and "Identity of the Pedagogical Coordinator". After reading the selected works, the data were analyzed based on the content analysis proposed by (BARDIN L, 2011). The results revealed that the professional identity of the pedagogical coordinator is constructed throughout their career, based on individual and collective experiences. Each professional carries with them their own stories, beliefs, and values which, combined with the work context, initial and ongoing training, and interactions with that environment, constitute their identity. The results of this research are fundamental to broadening discussions and reflections on the subject and drawing the attention of society in general to the relevance of the work performed by these professionals.
