Contemporary public security requires strategies that overcome the purely reactive model, integrating technology and the production of scientific knowledge. This article analyzes the challenges and applicability of Military Police Intelligence in the context of the State of Amazonas, focusing on the structure of the Military Police Intelligence System (SIPOM) and the implementation of Intelligence-Oriented Policing (POI). The methodology adopted consisted of qualitative research, of a bibliographic and documentary nature, with analysis of specific legislation and reference works on public security intelligence. The results indicate that the vast territorial extension of Amazonas and the reduction in police force make intelligence a critical factor for optimizing resources. It was concluded that the decentralization of intelligence units to the interior of the state, combined with the ethical use of technological innovations and open sources, is fundamental to strengthening institutional legitimacy and efficiency in preserving public order, guaranteeing qualified responses to transnational organized crime.
