THE RELATIONSHIP BETWEEN SOCIAL MOVEMENTS AND SOCIAL WORK

Abstract

This e-book aims to analyze the relationship between Social Work and Social Movements, based on their theoretical foundations, to understand how this theme has been considered in the research and productions of social workers. The research is exploratory in nature and adopts a qualitative approach, using bibliographic sources. Initial results show that, both quantitatively and qualitatively, despite efforts to bring these areas closer together within the professional project, the relevance of Social Movements has decreased in the number of studies and productions within Social Work.
