Road policing requires high levels of physical performance, psychomotor control, and resistance to occupational stress. This article analyzes, from a bibliographic and institutional perspective, the application of Physical Education to the operational activities carried out by the Batalhão de Polícia Rodoviária (BPRv) of the Polícia Militar do Estado do Pará. The study is based on scientific literature addressing exercise physiology, functional training, occupational health in policing, and stress physiology, correlating these theoretical frameworks with the specific biomechanical and environmental demands of road policing in the state of Pará, Brazil. Additionally, the article presents a historical overview of the BPRv, contextualizing its institutional development and operational responsibilities within the state’s public security system. The findings indicate the necessity of implementing structured and evidence-based physical training programs tailored to the functional demands of road patrol activities, aiming at injury prevention, operational efficiency, and long-term occupational health. The institutionalization of specific physical conditioning protocols is recommended as a strategic measure for improving professional longevity and performance among military police officers assigned to highway patrol duties.
