The research object is the performance of the Amazonas Military Police (PMAM) in combating organized crime on river routes. The specific objectives are to describe the river patrol operations, analyze the impact of organized crime on logistical routes, and propose strategies based on Modular River Bases (BMFs). The methodology is qualitative and applied, based on bibliographic and documentary research. The results demonstrate that the integrated operation generated losses of R$ 593 million for organized crime between 2020 and 2024. The final considerations validate the hypothesis that operational decentralization increases the reach of security and recommend the regulation of state competencies in inland waters.
