Abstract

This study aims to analyze how feminejo song lyrics activate and rearticulate discourses about women in the contemporary context. The article presents an excerpt from a master’s dissertation and consists of a systematic literature review conducted in the CAPES Journals Portal, which mapped academic productions addressing the discursive construction of the feminejo musical movement. As selection criteria, the descriptors Michel Foucault, Marília Mendonça, and feminejo were used, considering only open-access, peer-reviewed articles and master’s dissertations published between 2019 and 2023. Based on these criteria, four scientific articles and one master’s dissertation were selected to compose the corpus of analysis. The results indicate that the discourses present in the media and in feminejo song lyrics function as triggers for the production of knowledge about women, particularly with regard to the construction of female subjectivities.
