This study aimed to analyze how technology is being incorporated into Brazilian school curricula, with an emphasis on the teaching methodologies employed. The specific objectives were: (1) to identify the BNCC guidelines related to technology; (2) to discuss the impacts of this integration on the teaching-learning process; and (3) to highlight the main challenges faced by teachers in the incorporation of educational technologies. To this end, a qualitative research methodology was used, with an exploratory and descriptive approach, based on literature review and documentary analysis of the Base Nacional Comum Curricular (BNCC), as well as academic studies on the subject. The results show that technology, when integrated. critically and pedagogically, can enhance innovative and student-centered practices. However, structural, training, and cultural barriers still hinder the effective appropriation of technologies in schools. It is concluded that it is necessary to invest in continuous teacher training, technological infrastructure, and public policies that promote an inclusive, meaningful, and responsive education aligned with the demands of contemporary society.
