This article aimed to analyze the temporal trend of the crude mortality rate from ischemic heart diseases (IHD) in Uberlândia, Minas Gerais, Brazil, from 2015 to 2024, according to sex and age group. This is an ecological time-series study based on data from the Mortality Information System (SIM), including deaths classified under ICD-10 codes I20–I25. The crude mortality rate per 100,000 inhabitants was calculated. Trends were assessed using Joinpoint regression, estimating the Annual Percent Change (APC) and the Average Annual Percent Change (AAPC), with 95% confidence intervals. During the study period, 3,430 deaths from IHD were recorded, with a predominance of acute myocardial infarction and chronic ischemic heart disease. An overall decreasing mortality trend was observed in the total population and among men, whereas among women the reduction was not statistically significant. Declines occurred in all age groups, with significant reductions among individuals aged 40–49, 50–59, and ≥80 years. In conclusion, IHD mortality showed a decreasing trend, with differences by sex and age, supporting local strategies for cardiovascular prevention.
