Physical Education (PE) is a curricular component of Basic Education and is included in the area of Languages, Codes, and their Technologies, according to guidelines established by the National Common Curricular Base (BNCC). This article examines the initial training of Physical Education teachers to understand if and how the Course Pedagogical Projects (PPCs) express alignment with the conception of Physical Education oriented by the area of Languages, Codes, and their Technologies. To this end, we emphasized the analysis of the course objectives and the profile of Physical Education graduates from public higher education institutions in the state of Minas Gerais. Eighteen PPCs published on the official websites of these institutions in November 2025 were researched. Document analysis was the methodological approach used to process these documents. The article revealed that although the inclusion of initial training in Physical Education in the area of Languages, Codes, and their Technologies is formally ensured in most PPCs, this link is weak and poorly justified from an epistemological point of view in the objectives and profiles of the course graduates.
