This study analyzes the challenges for the consolidation of Environmental Education based on the perceptions of students enrolled in Lato Sensu postgraduate programs. It is a descriptive study with a quantitative approach, conducted through the application of a structured questionnaire to students from different fields of knowledge. The data were organized and analyzed using descriptive statistics. The results indicate that students recognize the importance of Environmental Education in fostering values such as ethics, citizenship, and socio-environmental responsibility. However, they point out weaknesses related to the limited emphasis on pedagogical practices, restricted interdisciplinary integration, and insufficient implementation of educational public policies. It is concluded that the consolidation of Environmental Education requires coordinated actions among educational institutions, public policies, and society in order to strengthen critical, continuous, and transformative educational practices.
